Kitty’s Place is a Federally Designated 501(c)(3) Non Profit Corporation established to serve the needs of emotionally and/or mentally challenged women.   We are in operation 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.  

We service a total of 12 women and we provide a variety of programs and services in a caring, nurturing environment that promotes dignity and self-motivation, and personal responsibility. This practice leads to an extraordinary, ambitious human being.  

Our programs center on developing self-reliant, self-assured human beings with strong work ethics. We emphasize “Learning to Live Life by Living It”.    

Residential Life

 In our home, you are family!   

  • Mealtime is a family experience which includes preparation, presentation, and companionship in a congenial atmosphere. 
  • There is an open invitation for families to participate in in-home activities and field trips.    

We encourage personal responsibility through productive living by:   

  • Facilitating and encouraging personal goal setting.  
  • Enhancing self-esteem through learning step-by-step strategies towards accomplishing personal goals.   
  • Developing communication and behavioral skills which are reflected in social situations and family interactions.    

We empower our resident members to overcome challenges through the development of self-esteem, competence, independence and leadership skills by:    

  • Completion of General Education Diploma (GED) Program. 
  • Meeting the Qualification for Admission Status to Focus Hope and other specialized programs. 
  • Assisting Resident Members to find jobs in the community. 
  • Mastering Group Living Skills. 
  • Moving into Independent Living.
